In Indian philosophy and religion, mukti is another word for moksha, or spiritual liberation. The Sanskrit word comes from the root mukt, which means "liberation," "release" and "emancipation." On Earth , there were many communities that followed and believed in the teachings of The Seven Sages. The features of these myths do not coincide with each other completely across all of the countries but the concept remains the same – the sages were always lawful, enlightened and in most cases, demigods that came to give clarity and understanding to mankind so that they may be civilized and enlightened just like the sages.  Image: the constellation of seven stars representing the seven sages - The Big Dipper or Great Bear. The goal was to reach nirvana after death rather than be consumed by an endless cycle of rebirths and earth bound damnation.
