On Earth, there were many communities that followed and believed in the teachings of The Seven Sages.
The features of these myths do not
coincide with each other completely across all of the countries but the concept
remains the same – the sages were always lawful,
enlightened and in most cases, demigods that came to give clarity and
understanding to mankind so that they may be civilized and enlightened just
like the sages.

The goal was to reach
nirvana after death rather than be consumed by an endless cycle of rebirths
and earth bound damnation.
They also gave people guidance on how to
transition after one’s death or after one’s release from the mortal realm,
beyond the earthly laws of reincarnation – leading to ultimate redemption,
eternal freedom and oneness with the
divine center.
First, let me tell you about The Seven Sages Of Earth so you may better understand the story of The Seven Sages of Subeta.

So, now that you
know more about the concept of The Seven Sages, I can tell you the story of how
Subeta saw the birth of its very own special sages.
In Ancient Subetian times, the wise
wizards of Saherimos worked together in unity to protect and defend The Seven
Sages.

The sages were first born in Subeta as
commoners who grew into highly intellectual children, without any supervision
whatsoever. The seven children found each other during the early years of their
childhood and grew up together as siblings. They visited the Secluded Shrine
every day. This is where they would play, learn and grow.
As young adults, they were great
warriors, scholars and artists who only spoke of goodness and justice. The
seven sages upheld the morals of the Subetians around them in times of trouble
and protected them from evil invaders and natural disasters. Subeta’s very own
justice league, if I may say so.

These sages were always among the
inhabitants of Saherimos and when they died, they were only reborn in the
Sacred Lands. They would grow up all over again, visit the Secluded Shrine
every day and grow stronger in mind and battle with each new life.
The new sages were always identified at
birth by the three most powerful wizards who governed the lands. If the wizards
died or transitioned, the sages would identify the next three governing wizards
and so on.

However, the sages were only later on in
life confirmed as their true selves when they were old enough to speak and say something
like “Yes, I know this is my brother” or “I identify this individual as my
sister.”
Until then, people had to go with the
wizard’s choices. And the wizards never chose wrongly. There was always
evidence of this.
The sages would have memories of all of
their past lives in unison, all the information would coincide. There were no
doubts in the minds of people that these beings were who they said they were.

The sages could do great things for all to see – move objects with their mind, see
into the near future, read people’s thoughts, disappear from one place and
appear in another, split mountains and fight like gods. They performed magic
everyday like it was routine. But it was a pure form of magic, only used for good.
This went on for many centuries and peace
prevailed, although Subeta did have some horrifying events unfold along the way,
no matter what happened there was never the absolute destruction of life and the battle of good vs. bad (of the mind and soul) was always championed by the
light.
Mortal subetians cherished their time
spent alive and graced each other with help and generosity, avoiding hunger,
poverty and malice. When they were about to die, they had no fear for they knew
that there was an endlessness of purity and divinity awaiting them, to merge
with their souls in the eternal cosmos - as long as they could break free from the chains
of jealousy, lust and greed.
The sages taught subetians how to
overcome these powers of darkness and master their inner light. There was no eternal death to be feared, no great unknown, only what is to come, the eventuality of a cosmic
home, a place to rest in love. This was the most important thing that The Seven
Sages brought to Subeta – peace of mind. The sages were celebrated and respected by everyone.

But Darkness fell over the land one day.
An electric cloud appeared over Saherimos and struck many of the inhabitants
dead. It all happened under a sky filled with thunder and lightning. It was as
though electricity was piercing the earth through to its core and killing
everything in its path.

The Sages prepared for battle and flew
out into the sky to find the culprit, taking their godly forms for the first
time in a long time. They never returned that day. Nobody knows who controlled
the throngs of electric shards that terrorized thousands and murdered their
young.
Down in Saherimos, the wizard shrine was
struck down and the three most powerful wizards went missing, or at least their
bodies were never found.

Things changed soon after this, many things came and went, many seasons passed, everyone forgot what they knew about life and death…the seven sages were forgotten and only the sky remained the same.

Seventy seven thousand seven hundred and
seventy seven years passed, the lands changed and eternal knowledge was lost.
Subeta functioned as an economic sytem -
subetians had corporate jobs, fashion, resorts to travel to during vacations
(much like how Earth functions). Nobody thought about sages, the divine center
… or death. Everything was centered on materialism, currency and trade. Of
course, families existed and love existed but it just wasn’t the same.

With
peace of mind and eternal unity lost forever, everyone was stuck in the cycle
of rebirth unbeknownst to them.
On the seventy seven thousand seven
hundred and seventy seventh year, a young and rather strange looking boy
appeared near the secluded shrine. He wore only a thin shawl around his waist
and seven crystal chains around his neck. He was accompanied by a white Kumos.

He repeated seven names constantly, seven times each for seven hours every day, seven days a week.

At first, people thought he was mad...and
annoying! When they tried to take him away from the secluded shrine to
institutionalize him, they realized what he truly was. Their hands went right
through him when they tried to touch him, but he was solid. He just didn’t want
to be touched or taken away. When he was asked who he was he said “I come from
the divine, to bring back the divine, to give you the seven divine sages. The names I chant are those of the sages.”
Soon, people went to him for counsel. He
helped them meditate, astral travel and lucid dream. He spoke of spells and
performed miracles. He grew into a mighty wizard, the only wizard in Subeta
after thousands of years.

He spent his lifetime travelling across
the lands looking for the sages who spoke to him in his mind.
He told everyone this: “I am the last of the most powerful wizards, the only wizard left in this realm. I know that the sages are alive. But their return has been difficult with the destruction of the three most powerful wizards and the destruction of memory. The darkness has shattered light and has made everyone blind...we are now lost sheep, wandering the same desert in circles, a million times. It is only with the sages that we can be set free again - souls can fly into the comfort of nothingness, the divine center. The sages will show me their next form. I will find them for Subeta.”
And so he did find them along with his faithful Kumos named Luna. He found all the seven sages born separately, some dispersed in other lands, under completely different and some uncalled for situations. But in this life, they didn’t even know they were the seven sages…neither could they recognize each other.

They had to start all over again, the
length of years of inactivity and the time spent soul-healing had brought even the sages to a state
of forgetfulness. But after much doubt and struggle, the sages united again
under the roof of two subetians who vowed to protect them. They are in your
midst today, preparing for the return of the electric cloud.

The sages are – Mukti, Shaon, Kuranosuke,
Alphonsus, Buffett, Staal and Pilikia.
The protectors are – Overflows and
Schascha and
The guardian mother - Yuura/Nova (a Subetian Human, recording the events of The Seven Sages and living with them as their primary caregiver.)
The wizard – The old wizard, who now spends time asking subetians for weird
things all day. Who knows? He might be putting something together that the
seven sages might need when worse comes to worse!
The young chibis are alive and well, growing stronger every day and waiting for the day when the electric cloud will appear again. They’re not sure what they’re going to do about it yet. And they’re not ready. But they’re learning more every day and for now, that’s all that matters.

If you are a Subetian, you can visit them and talk to them about their progress and their adventures. I'm sure they would like to meet a fellow Subetian :)
